Backyard Banger was born from a simple frustration that every returning veteran knows too well. After seven deployments, Ty came home each time with the same dream - to gather family and friends for the kind of outdoor cookouts that make lasting memories. But every time, he faced the same obstacles: no portable kitchen solution that could keep up with his vision, and certainly no budget for the expensive custom outdoor kitchen setups that seemed to be the only option.

The Visionary Behind the Banger

What started as Ty's personal challenge became a mission to solve this problem for everyone. He didn't just want a better way to cook outdoors - he wanted to create something that moved with you, stored away easily, and didn't require a second mortgage or months of construction headaches.

In October 2022, that vision became reality when we launched our Indiegogo campaign. The response was incredible: 52 backers believed in our dream and helped us raise $103,000 in just the first month. It was proof that we weren't the only ones who needed this solution.

Meet the Team

Our founder Ty was soon joined by Aman, whose medical background brings a unique analytical perspective to everything we do. As co-founder, Aman wears many hats - from logistics to events to customer experience - ensuring that every Backyard Banger meets the highest standards of quality and functionality.

What started as a two-person team driven by personal experience has grown into something much bigger. We're expanding rapidly, bringing on passionate team members who share our vision of making outdoor cooking accessible to everyone.
