Backyard Bar Banger Safety Guidelines
Ensuring the safe use of your Backyard Bar Banger is our top priority. Please read the following safety guidelines carefully to enjoy your outdoor kitchen experience to the fullest.
Electricity
Your Backyard Bar Banger comes equipped with a sink, fridge, and Power Tower, offering all the conveniences of a modern kitchen. However, combining water and electricity requires extra caution:
- Power Tower: Rated IP64, the Power Tower is resistant to dust and splashes, but it should not be sprayed directly with water, especially when it is in the raised position. Always ensure the Banger is covered when not in use to protect the Power Tower and other components.
- Dry Hands: Ensure your hands are completely dry when using the electrical sockets to prevent electrical hazards.
- Remove Cords: Before closing the Power Tower, remove all cords and devices from the USB ports and sockets.
- Voltage and Amperage: The Power Tower supports up to a total of 13 Amps. If you exceed this, you will trip the breaker. Understanding the voltage and amperage requirements for your kitchen appliances is crucial, please refer to this Appliances Amperage Chart.
- Breaker Reset: If you exceed 13 Amps or experience a ground fault, the breaker will trip. Use the red breaker switch located on the top front side panel of the Power Tower to reset the sockets.
- Fuse Replacement: There is also an internal fuse inside of the Power Tower. The breaker should keep this fuse from blowing, but if it ever does blow, you will notice that your fridge is still running but the Power Tower is not, and switching the breaker back and forth doesn't fix it. The Power Tower must be removed and opened up to replace fuse so pleae contact us before attempting this.
Weight Limits
Proper usage of weight limits ensures the longevity and safety of your Backyard Bar Banger, your guests, and yourself:
- Side Tables: The side tables are rated to support up to 30 pounds. Do not exceed this limit to avoid damage or injury.
- Overall Weight: The Bar Banger weighs 400 pounds. Exercise extreme caution when moving it, especially on inclined surfaces. Always keep the front two caster wheels locked when the Banger is stationary.
Pinch Points
Be aware of potential pinch points when using the bar and side tables:
- Clear Areas: Make sure all areas under the bar and side tables are clear before raising or lowering them.
- Finger Safety: Take special care to keep fingers away from pinch points on the side table brackets and under the bar to avoid injuries.
Umbrellas and Wind
Handling the umbrellas properly in windy conditions is vital:
- Wind Caution: Do not use the umbrellas in heavy winds as this could break or tear your umbrella, or even worse it could tip over the entire Banger.
- Storage: Always lower and fasten the umbrella when not in use to prevent damage from unexpected winds.
By following these safety guidelines, you can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with your Backyard Bar Banger. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our support team.
